Miradas en paralelo
Miguel Fisac and Alejandro de la Sota (born 1913), two of the most important modern Spanish architects of the twentieth century. The ICO Fundación organized an exhibition centered on these two contemporaries architects, showing their work as parallel paths leading in one direction towards the renovation of architectural language.
This idea is reflected in this catalog, edited by La Fabrica, which follows the exhibition providing a timeline that highlights the major landmarks of both architects careers, represented by parallel lines that stretch the years during which they carried out their work. These artists projects are interspersed throughout the book, for each was assigned an identifying color: orange for Fisac and blue for De la Sota.
The images of their projects are arranged following a dynamic layout, with the purpose of designing more a book on architecture than a detailed catalog. It includes drawings, models, photographs, pictures of furniture and objects, is an extensive tour of both masters’ work.
